Miguna Vs NASA Principles
So now we are talking if how NASA leaders don’t want Miguna Miguna around, taking their coveted positions as chief critics of the government and it’s projects. A government hated and bashed by default on claims of illegitimacy after a bumpy 2017 election year. The thought process behind this is as disgusting as it is baffling! Why would anyone hate a fellow opposing party if they are fighting on one side, for supposedly the same justice/rights/crown?
This bring Deja-Vu from last year when the same NASA went to court to seek a scraping off of the August 8th election and force a rerun. History was set and the elections were voided sighting irregularities in the process. IEBC set up October 26th as a day to hold the rerun of Presidential elections, and alas NASA pulled another shocker by demanding a total cleansing of the IEBC, deep in the election period, point to note is that the former commission was disbanded on calls from the same opposition, so a second call for the same was simply too much, tiring and sinister at best. The constitutional crisis was helped by the judges not appearing in court a day prior to the election, thank the heavens. NASA abstained from the election, despite Jubilee running another fit of campaign across the country (forgotten fact) and since then it has been agitation after agitation.
So now we have come full circle, Raila has taken the oath as ‘People’ s President ‘next to Miguna Miguna, former foe now ally. As we seat and watch what other schemes they have up their sleeves we are entertained to a political maneuvering that would make for great works of legend. And keeping true to our now Kenyan nature, we don’t question, we simply wait to be influenced /affected.
Affected by the ‘hundreds of thousands’, those said to have attended the mock swearing-in in Uhuru Park. We will wait when the economy is distorted by riots from these youth who have been corrupted to think what isn’t is!
We will seat and wait as the opposition throws punches, and watch eagerly to see what reaction the government will have to the assault, damn the long term effect on us all.
We will seat and watch as contempt and personal ambition shapes our current political, economic and social well being as a nation, 55 years after emancipation.
My personal thoughts are just that personal, nonetheless I strive as hard as I can to ensure I think along facts, along irrefutable truths so that whatever set of actions I engage in are in line with the reality of the day and not only fit for this century but also sustainable for the long-term. Problem with most of our political elite’s actions and words cannot meet the threshold of sanity, in the most basic ways, and am not even speaking of the hidden facts or board room deals made on behalf of Kenyans.
We have made this trait so acceptable, that now it is all done ‘for the people of Kenya’ and by that simple utterance, all acts are justified. So by all means, because we have let our existence to be used by whoever whenever, let NASA leaders play a mockery on our collective intelligence by accepting all August 8th elections results apart from the presidential results, let the NASA leaders go ahead and boycott governmental duties, duties that they are handsomely paid for.
Let the NASA Leaders run a mock on our constitution by swearing-in a ‘People’ s President ‘ using alleged results from the annulled election from August 8th, an election they took to court forcing a re-run, all on our dime, our strained economy’s dime.
As for me though, when I see and hear NASA general fighting for position within the same opposition without a direct plan to Kenyan – benefit, I writhe in pain at the truth that all this isn’t geared to help the Kenyans but the few elite claiming leadership positions.
Oooor is there a hidden hand? A mastermind group that seeks to benefit from conflicts in country? Is this all inspired by groups of individuals/companies that want to capitalize on Kenya’s rising star in the region?
Is this inspired by the natural mineral wealth that has been discovered underneath our lands?
Is this the common African tale of leaders representing group interests, foreign groups?
